Press Campaign
I developed an integrated media strategy for a ceramics collection going to auction. The collection was the work of a famed local potter whose name was recognisable to middle-aged and elderly locals.
I built a story with the ceramics at the centre by using the ephemera and written information accompanying them, which allowed me to track familial relations for additional details and quotes.
After writing up the story, I conducted stakeholder liaison and targeted media distribution across trade and regional publications. The resulting coverage helped drive the sales of the pieces at auction to a £1,425 total, exceeding estimates of £665 by 114%.
Following the auction, enquiries were received from BBC Radio Stoke and a V&A Wedgwood Collection archivist.
